INNOVATIVE DESIGNS
A little about us and what we do
R & J SimTech specializes in PC simulation head tracking technologies. At present, the IRTrackStar is designed as a plug n play cordless led clip upgrade to the Track Clip Pro for use with the TrackIR camera and sensor (sold separately by Natural Point). This upgrade greatly improves the user experience by carrying it's power supply onboard, improving tracking precision, and by improving the range of motion possible without losing track. The IRTrackStar can be seen and tracked by the TrackIR camera even while turned 90° perpendicular to the camera. Plus the IRTrackStar is durable and designed to last.
For the IRTrackStar v5, we really dug deep into the comments and reviews on the previous RS Ultralight (v4) model. While everyone loves the IRTrackStar, there have been comments for improvement that we have taken to heart. So we are pleased to announce that the battery in the IRTrackStar is now removable! We moved the battery to the mounting arm for better weight balance, reduced the main body size, and reduced weight (...by 0.18 ounces, but savings is savings). And because the battery is now removable, it can now be hot swapped for a fresh battery while in flight. Any standard Li-50B battery will fit. Simply slide a fresh battery into the battery slot and go flying!
The IRCam XTR is now available on our Etsy at rjsimtech.etsy.com. (it will be added to the website shortly) Be sure to purchase the IRTrackStar XtremeTrak variant on Etsy rather than the TR version sold here on the website. The standard TR version is only for Trackir.
We will continue to sell the TrackIR version of the IRTrackStar TR. This led clip, paired with TrackIR, has been the backbone of RJSimTech. It's the workhorse that never disappoints!

Works Great
It is great to not have a wire attached to head set. It took a few minutes to get it aligned but not w I just put on headset and I am good to go.

Excellent as always
Bought a v5 as a replacement for my v3, and couldn't be happier. The swappable batteries alone makes this the best LED head tracking unit on the market.

One of the Best products I’ve purchased for Flight Sim
I’m a star citizen player and one of the main issues I was having with head tracking is being able to look far down to the left when landing. This fixed that completely with the wider angle the camera can see of the light points vs the track clip pro. The print and build quality were also amazing. I ordered a set of batteries and charger for them so I never have any wires or downtime now. This thing is leaps and bounds ahead of the stock tracking clip. It basically fixed every shortcoming of the stock clip. I was so impressed with it I ordered a second as a backup in case anything ever happened to my first one.

Great product, good company.
The first version was great and I bought whatever version there was a couple years ago. Idk which version I had since this says V5 but I had whatever version came before this one a couple years back
V5 is noticeably lighter weight and you CAN feel it. The replaceable battery was the seller for me.
Great product, great support and company.

Exceeds expectations
I had one and only one hope for the TrackStar v5, and it was that it would hang on to my headset better, and more reliably than the oem IR set. It is clear to me now, that I seriously under appreciated what this thing actually can do. it tracks smoother, its less prone to background light interference ( i have windows at my 7 and 8 that I cannot block light from) i have to recenter it FAR LESS than the OEM. It is slightly heavier, but that increase in weight is minimal considering how well built the entire unit is, and that its packing a battery to run it. If you run IR tracking, this thing is the gold standard!

Fantastic Product
I purchased this after an accident on my part led to me rather thoroughly destroying my previous v3 version. I left a detailed video review of that on my YouTube channel https://youtu.be/9gwJZeZ2tok?si=kO7PKKCMQSZ4FaRN
Mostly that applies to the V5 but now with a couple of nice improvements. The strap fits better and more securely. Having clearly separate lights for charging and on/off is great. And the replacable battery is a really nice longevity feature. I highly recommend this as a brilliant upgrade to TrackIR.

Well made product! Much sturdier than my TrackIr headset. Battery seems great so far, and theres even the option to buy replacement batteries off Amazon if/when needed.

Love the product, love the changes from V4 to V5.
A great upgrade from the original TrackIr clip. Fantastic build quality, lightweight, and a replaceable battery make it practically perfect. Kudos to the manufacturer for providing the v5 version to those who ordered the v4 version.

Great product
I have purchased two of these due to the fact that I do long streams of sometimes 24 hours. I really enjoy the quality and the fact that its attached well to my headset. Thanks for the great products.
